Of course! I had brain fart…
Your strip is a Zigbee device, but the driver you’ve mentioned is a LAN driver for connecting a Philips Hue hub.
Using a Hue remote (like a dimmer switch) typically resets the device for the Hue ecosystem, not necessarily for open Zigbee pairing with other hubs. If it’s not fully factory-reset to a neutral state, it won’t join the SmartThings network.
I don’t have that strip, so I had to google it:
-
Plug in the lightstrip and turn it on (it should light up white or default color).
-
Cycle power: Turn off for 2-5 seconds, then on for 10 seconds. Repeat this 5-6 times.
-
On the final cycle, leave it on—it should flash or dim briefly to indicate reset (though not all models do this visibly).
-
Immediately put your SmartThings hub into “Add Device” or “Scan Nearby” mode.
-
If it doesn’t flash, try holding a Hue dimmer switch close (within inches) and pressing the “I” (on) and “O” (off) buttons simultaneously for 10-15 seconds until it responds.
