Hi @Itati
Not welcome code related but hope you’re able to help with a v2 hub related issue.
I dug out a spare brand new hub v2 which I activated via the code in the box. I can see the hub as connected in the App but it’s not reporting the firmware version nor the DSK/SDK versions. How can I update the firmware please?
Also, I was disappointed not to be able to form a hub group with the existing v2 hub as you can’t with 2 x v2’s, so resigned myself that at least I can do a “backup” in case the existing hub fails. BUT, upon going into the hub replace options apparently there is not enough memory on an identical hub!?!
Hub Groups and Hub Backup currently only support models with Thread/Zigbee radios built-in. Models that require Zigbee/Thread radio dongles are not supported, even if a dongle is installed.
Hi, @Somebody
Itati is OOO at the moment, but as we’re from the same team, I can help you out.
So, let’s separate the issue into two parts:
The V2 Hub is installed but it doesn’t report the firmware version. Did you get any erros while onboarding it? If not, please share the following information:
Serial number
The hub you wanted to use as backup is the one you don’t see information from, right? The one that ends with “_Garage”. If so, it might showing this error because its information is complete, so, I think we should solve the issue #1 first.
For both issues, we need support access to your account, could you enable it, please?
Confirm the email account registered in the forum is the same one you use for SmartThings. If not, please share it with me over DM
Select the time period and confirm - In this step, please select “Until turned off”, once the team finishes, we’ll let you know so you can disable it again
