Hub Firmware Release Notes - 0.32.7

Solid blue. Batteries and external power complete removed.

Edit: Fixed it by opening ports 11111, 443, and 39500

Hmm how do you get the hub back online? Seems to have gone offline overnight and a power cycle hasn’t brought it back. I assume this is probably firmware related…? Not had this before. Gets solid blue and then no more…

They are usually announced with a time span of a few days. It typically takes a couple of days for my hub to update and perhaps another day before the process is announced as complete.

The 31.4 update was a bit different in that it started at about 4pm UK time as usual but was announced as complete early the same evening.

This one is going the other way for me with no update on one hub and the other one not expected to get one because it is stuck.

Still just a solid blue light since Monday after removal of batteries and external power several times - also tried a soft reset (not hard). Opened support request #1047568 Tuesday morning, but nobody even replied to this yet… :frowning:

Is Smart Home a priority for Samsung anymore or is it time to give up and choose another vendor…?

Worst update ever. Between the app update, handball the Alexa issues, and now this…I will be replacingbSmarthings. 50+ devices, and it will he a PITA, but this is just too much.

Same here. Can no longer monitor and check my status remotely which is the reason I got ST in the first place. What would be the alternative, given I’ve a few ST devices. Will they work on any other system? At the moment my ST Hub is basically a useless lump of white plastic.

something is definitely up

After about 36 hours of downtime, I power cycled my hub (v2) and it went back online. During the downtime period, I had already power cycled the hub several times but always ended up with a solid blue light. I don’t know why the last reboot was successful.

This is frightening. Is there any way to disallow automatic updates until we’re sure they fix this?

Unfortunately, no, SmartThings does not allow you to defer or deny hub updates.

I’m also having issues. v2 hub online in classic app and offline in new one. green light on front and IDE shows its online and pinging but most devices marked as offline (online is lifx etc) and amazon Alexa can not control stuff. in classic app devices that are offline in new app and IDE can be controlled in the app! webcore working and controlling stuff, so it’s clearly a problem with them not being offline, but it showing.

tried power off with batteries out and makes no difference. emailed support in UK but they are on a 3-5 day turn around at the moment! Not going to please the family.

Can only assume it’s this new firmware.

Not the firmware… just the new app. Many have been experiencing this issue well before the latest firmware.

this hub here has not received the new update yet, but having trouble trying to get some zwave devices to pair.

Try to exclude the devices first, then try to add them

thats the interesting thing… they exclude right away in both apps, but refuse to pair.

Brand/model of the device? Using any custom device handlers for them?

For z-wave devices are you using scan nearby or the z-wave option?

this one zwave device ive been working on this morning is a zwave plus ecolink door/window sensor. I took a look in the ide, but dont see a custom device handler. (something of interest i did see someone else was having trouble with ecolink zwave non-plus door/window sensor back with firmware 28.)

i am trying to pair in both the old and new apps using scan nearby and brand/device/type.

after putting the cover on the device, which triggers include when led is blinking, it will blink several times before stopping. at that point you can test the device with magnet. if it starts blinking again then you take the cover off and put it back on to try an pair again. if it just very briefly brinks when magnet is added/removed then it is supposedly paired, but not showing so on either app.

Try excluding the devices, reboot your hub in IDE, keep live logging open (or check hub events later) and then try to add and see if there are any errors

i rebooted the hub several times with the ide. i watched live logging and its saying no devices to add.

I always go back to device handlers… you say there are no custom device handlers installed for z-wave sensors or ecolink?
