How to merge DTH files with different preferences?

I created some DTH files. These files have different preferences. Except these preferences, other codes are very similar. How can I merge these files?

Can you give more details about this? I mean:

  • Why is the code similar but the preferences are different?
  • The devices have the same capabilities and functions?
