Hey everyone. I recently purchased a new router. As a kickstarter backer i set my hub up a long time ago and no longer have the welcome documentation. Likewise, I can’t seem to find a setup guide on the smart things site, which I find to be more than a bit odd.
How do I switch my hub to access a different wireless network? In the meantime I have it reconnected via a power line setup.
Not sure if you’ve found your answer but I believe it had no builtin WiFi capability. I looked it up and this is what I found.
Does the SmartThings Hub support Wifi?
We chose not to build Wifi into the first generation Hub to make room for the many other wireless technologies that are included. However, the on-board Ethernet port provides a way to connect to an existing wireless gateway to gain access to the WiFi network and connected devices.
I had the same question. I solved it by removing the location in my ST app. Then the welcome code became available again to be used. The downside is all your setups will be gone.
