I got the hub up and running, connected to smartthings, and discovered my devices. I assigned the lights to a button on the remote and it powers them on and then they turn back off.

@thegibertchan any ideas?

Have you watched your ST IDE logs to see if there are any clues as to why the lights are going back off? Maybe there’s another SmartApp or something else interacting with them?

Also while you are at the logs can you confirm that there is an out of index exception on line 38 for the harmony home hub even though they may not be related.

I am getting the same thing Ron.

Yeah I posted it for the harmony home. And btw, did you notice if you have Philips hue bulbs, the harmony home app recognizes its state irrespective of how it was turned on? That’s cool! But I got the harmony just for the heck of it and never used it for automation except for playing around with its integration with ST and needed a second remote anyways. Only use it for A/V functions. :smile:

@tyler is right though. This issue was long reported and fixed long back but apparently has come back.

We had our team look at your logs. It seems that the Port was parsed incorrectly during device setup. We fixed it for your account. Let us know if you’re still seeing this.

I’ll continue to explore your issue tomorrow. Will let you know if I can identify the issue.

I haven’t seen this in my own use however.

By any chance is this a dimmer? Can you try setting the dimmer levels and see if the same behavior continues.

It is a dimmer and I am not sure how to set the dimmer levels in the harmony app. The dimmer buttons on my remote do not do anything.

That’s weird, the dimmer buttons on the remote work with my Linear dimmer switches. It’s a little awkward that they only work for whatever light you turned on last, but it works for my needs and means I only need the one remote for the entire living room!

Ok. In the app, long pressing the light reveals a dimmer slider. If I set the dimmer to maximum and then turn the light on it stays on. If I don’t do that it turns off immediately.

I have my Hub integrated into SmartThings, but I don’t have any activities/apps doing anything with it yet. I notice nothing is in my logs and the “Current Activity” isn’t being updated. Is this because it only logs/tracks what you do through SmartThings and if I use the physical remote, it doesn’t get that data?

I can not control my lights and the harmony hub device in my list of things does not show the current activity, nor does it provide a list of activities to other smart apps. Getting this error again
