Good Bye! Routine not working

9 minutes didn’t work for me!
Hmm actually wait and see, the app didn’t see my phone had left until I just loaded it, only my presence sensor, will see if it kicks in shortly.

9 minutes works! It was just the iPhone app not realising I had left today for some reason, it only said I left when I loaded it as I got to work.

If it matters at all, mine is set to 0 for several months now.

Can now confirm, 11 minutes doesn’t work… so possibly anything above 9 minutes doesn’t work perhaps?

My “I’m back” routine didn’t work yet again today. Been an an-going problem for days now. Irritated to say the least.

Is it the routine not firing or is it something else? For example, I have 2 presence sensors (one Smartthings, one on my android phone). The android phone is a bit hit and miss with determining when I’m home, so the I’m home routine tends to fire 5 minutes after I arrive home which is annoying. Especially when I have to clear notifications from the SMH.

Same here. It is a giant mess

Both phones show up just fine. That’s always the first thing I check…

for some reason, as of today my I’m Back! routine isn’t triggering. my phone shows that i have arrived, but I’m Back isn’t triggering. all the routine does is open my garage door when it see’s that i am home [proximity]. it was working fine the last few days…

anyone else haven’t issues?

Does you hub have the new update that came out today?

Is the Routine actually failing, or does it trigger a Mode change and it’s failing? If it’s the latter scenario, I’ve had a ticket actively being worked on that’s over 2 weeks old, but no one has a clue what’s causing it. I’ve found a workaround, but it only fixes things for a short time (anywhere from one execution to as much as 3 days).

I am having the same issue where routines will work for a day or two and then stop. My lights (and others) will work, but the mode changes fail. Right now none of my mode changes work, but my lights still turn on and off, door unlocks and locks, sonos play and pause. I have tired renaming the routines with no luck… I am going to try and rename the modes and see if that helps.

BTW I was having so many problems with V2 that I went back to V1. V2 had better response times (would recognize presence faster, motion would detect faster etc.) but I was having problems where the hub would freeze (ended up getting a WeMo switch to schedule HUB reboots).

Been working with support for over a month now (very painful) and I eventually gave up. I figure at some point this will all start working again. For now V2 will stay in a box

Just an update to my issue with failing mode changes. I found that if I removed the “Door Lock” & “Door Unlock” from the routines, my mode changes started working again. I ended up creating a separate routine just for the lock and unlock function and everything seems to be working.

I’m having Goodbye issues not firing also…changed the timeout as mentioned in this thread to 5 mins.

Will check again tomorrow

It works !

Set it to 5 minutes , and as the wife left home this afternoon everything triggered as expected

Getting there …

Thanks all

My Good Bye routine isn’t firing automatically either. It’s set to go when ‘things quiet down’. I saw the following (see screenshot) in the IDE - which shows what looks to be an impossible filter (true for active and inactive a the same time). I think this is why it never automatically runs the routine. Thoughts?

Those are just events that are subscribed so that it can monitor when things become active or inactive.

Not sure if this is related, but ST no longer recognizes that my wife has left the house. She has an iPhone 6. In other words, when she leaves the house “goodbye” does not initiate because her status shows as “present”. I remove and then added her phone to see if that would help. I’ll know todsy if it worked. Any reason why this would suddenly start happening? Could she have changed something on her iPhone inadvertently?

I tried the timing and anything <10 works. Anyone know why? I’d like a little more ‘things quiet down’ time before arming to avoid angry family members that are already a little peeved with my automation hobby/addiction.

Another logging that “Goodby” does not work. However after reding this thread I have changed it from 10min to 5min time out. This is a simple routine which is set to turn off a single ST outlet.

I did have issues with "I’m Back’ but after speaking with a collegue of mine who has ST, he suggested removing the Mode status changes. Again, a simple routine which is set to turn on a single ST outlet. Will see if that works when I return home tonight.

Both are based on the presense of a single Android 6 phone

Other routines which are based on timed events seem to work fine!
