Good evening folks! I ordered the kit below from Amazon and it showed up today. The open/close sensors went in quickly without a hitch. However the motion sensor shows up as an Aeon Multi Sensor 5. I have a feeling this is because I already own a Aeon Multi Sensor 5 but really have no idea. How do I get this to show as the proper device?
When a z-wave device pairs, it sends out a fingerprint that advertises what functions it offers. ST then uses this to match up to the closest device.
Log into the IDE, click on My Devices Click on the new sensor. Click Edit. Change the device type and save.
There is no Go Control device type. My guess is it’ll work as a generic Z-Wave Motion Sensor
