Device wrong Motion Listed as Door Sensor

My z-wave motion sensor has been added to my smartthings hub but it is listed at a door open close sensor. How do I change the category to motion?

Before doing that you might want to exclude it and bring it back in while making sure you are a couple feet from the hub. If it does it a second time then you can look into manually switching the device type but I’d be worried you’ll have other problems too.

What device? May need another handler assigned or a custom one.

I tried manually inputting the device type but there is not an option to
change the type for this particular device. I tried excluding and re
including and the same thing open/close sensor but it is a motion/light
sensor.

The device is as follows:
Zooz Z-Wave Plus 2-in-1 Motion and Light Mini Sensor ZSE09.

Jimmy how do I correct that problem I am having (motion sensor being recognized as open/close sensor).
I reinstalled the twice and there is not an option to change the device type.

ANSWER FOUND INSTRUCTIONS BELOW:
You can change the device type by following the steps below:

  1. Make sure the sensor is within direct range of SmartThings

  2. Enter your login details here:
    https://graph.api.smartthings.com/login/auth

  3. Click on My Devices in the top menu

  4. Click on the device to be modified

  5. Scroll down to the bottom and click on the Edit button

  6. Go to Type and select the correct device type from the drop-down menu,

  7. Click the Update button on the bottom of the page

Then press and release the inclusion button on the device so it can
configure with new settings. (for me it was 2xs quickly, each device has
its own # of times see manuals),
