Elektra zigbee led devices

Hi,

Has anyone successfully connected Elektra zigbee led devices (German) to Smartthings v2 hub? am based in uk
Have a v3 coming in the hope that will help, as my hub is old.

Update - I got it working. Works brilliant, and shows in Alexa and control via there too.

Hello, can I ask how did you put the Elektra lights into pairing mode? I have the remote control (which works) but don’t know how to put the lights into Zigbee pairing mode so that I can connect it to Home Assistant. Thanks.

Needs to be the most recent model out (late 2024) as there earlier version isn’t zigbee.

Receiver MIX-X2ZB is the model,

There is a button on one of the boxes, and it said on instructions how to get into pairing mode

Thank you. I’ve just had a look and it seems the box is in a place where it’s too difficult to access. On top of the kitchen cupboards and too far back to reach. The installers didn’t give us the manual, so I don’t know if it’s possible to enter pairing mode directly from the remote control.

Nope you have to press the button on the receiver.
I’ll send a picture of the section in the manual shortly

Thank you so much for posting these scans! I really appreciate your kindness.

@tempaccount did you get it working with HA? Zigbee2MQTT integration does not support Elektra devices, does it? Which integration did you use?

EDIT: It seems the Zigbee2MQTT does not know the remote but the MIX LED driver.

Hello @phnoe27, sorry I didn’t see your message until now as I only created this account for this thread and just decided to check in just in case. To answer your question, yes I did get it to work, initially. The Elekra lights were not in the Zigbee2MQTT database, so I had to follow a tutorial to figure out how to get them recognised manually. It did work. I have a feeling that I did this for both the Elektra remote and the Elektra receiver.

Subsequently, something went wrong with my Zigbee2MQTT network. I think the USB dongle might be faulty. The Elektra lights were pretty much the only thing that I had using that dongle, as the rest of my network is on ZHA. So the Elektra lights haven’t been connected to HA since February and I just use the wall switch to operate them. I have to say, I really do not like the Elektra remote control. It’s not intuitive and it seems to have a mind of its own.

My plan is to fix the Zigbee2MQTT network, put a Shelly relay behind the kitchen lightswitch, install a presence detector in the Kitchen, and then run an HA automation to turn the Elektra LED lights on whenever the kitchen is occupied.
