Edge Drivers Smartthings V2 STH-ETH 250

How can I fix my V2 hub to install drivers every time I try I get a error
I have tried a reset multiple times and re added it in its own site as well as the same site but it just wont let me install. This totally kills the the whole reason I got it if It wont discover hue bridges (and Im not too interested in making accounts to link to hue)
I currently have the exact same hub with drivers

Anybody have any ideas or am I missing something
all i want to do it install @blueyetisoftware to discover hub bridges on the LAN
If you have to know why I have 2 hubs I have had the V2 Hub up and running in my home for the last 5-6 years. I recently decided to start over because I felt like I started reaching limits on automations that slowed down things. I now have another V2 hub I was able to get brand new for pretty cheap and decided to split my home so I could make more automations and add more devices.

Unless the brand new one was online and connected to receive an update back in 2018ish, it likley won’t work.

His screenshot shows that the hub is running 53.19 which is the latest for that model and that it supports Matter 1.2. Something else going on.

There are two screenshots - ST hub and downstairs hub

Just an FYI to everyone reading … since ST added serial # to the information screen…it may not be wise to post them

Its updated to the latest but just wont install edge drivers.

Thnks for all your help. Ive decided its a dud something is just not right with itbc i discovered im not able to factory reset it. I thought i was but all it does is a red light and blue the nothing it never flashes. I saw another post with someone with this problem and it was not solved. It was $40 and not worth the time and effort vs just getting another one.

I have seen users confused about the reset so here is the procedure for a full reset of a V2:

  • unplug the power cord but leave ethernet plugged in
  • Remove the batteries if using.
  • Insert a pin in the reset slot on the back of the hub
  • While continuing to press the pin in the reset slot, insert the power cord
  • When you see the solid yellow on the led on the front of the hub… remove the pin from the reset slot
  • Wait about 10 minutes until it contacts ST servers and downloads any needed firmware.
  • Add hub to ST app within 30 minutes to avoid the timeout or else you need to repeat

Hope this helps! I have seen users only inserting a pin into the reset slot while it is powered up… believing that will reset the hub. It doesn’t unfortunately.

If your hub does fall in the category where it hasn’t been updated since 2018… then it will never work. You can always reach out to ST Support to confirm.
