Hi, I have two dimmer switches installed right next to hub with in 20 ft. Both only work intermittently. Their status is updated when I turn on/off physically though. When I send on/off request from my Android App, it doesn’t work. Also the app/routine I am using to turn on/off light based on Aeon motion sensor works only randomly which is expected I guess since at that point commands sent from the app directly doesn’t work either. I am confused how the status is updated correctly when the switch is turned on/off manually. Switches I have are -
2gig WD500Z-1 Z-Wave Wall Dimmer
Leviton VRMX1-1LZ 1000W Vizia RF ZWave with matching VP00R.
Sorry that I can’t help, but I am having similar troubles with two new Leviton switches, the DZS15 single pole switch and the DZMX1 dimmer switch. You can search for my posts using “Leviton Switch” to follow if a solution is posted.
In my case, All dimmers works fine again after I do a power cycle of hub, But then after sometime (randomly, sometimes they for a day ro so before stopping again) they will stop responding to smartthings commands. Although if switched on/off manually I see the status in notification so I know they are communicating with hub in terms of updating the status but just wont take control commands. Has anyone had such problems with other dimmers ?
Have you been able to solve this? I also have a bunch of Leviton dimmers and I have to send the on/Off commands multiple times before it actually happens.
I’ve read on another thread that they will work differently if paired directly on the hub versus through a minimote. I will try that and see if they behave better.
