CT30, still a good choice?

I know the CT30 is an old model. But is it still a reliable option? They can be had for cheap and I’m only looking for a dumb Zwave model thermostat.

I never got mine to work… But perhaps I just got a bad Z-Snap module or other defect.

SmartThings sees it… I thought… Dunno, I gave up.

Hi everybody,

I have a CT-30 with RapidSe USNAP module. When I add it to my ST, for some reason it identifies as “Fibaro door/window sensor”. Any idea why is that and how I can fix this?

tgauchat when ST found your CT-30, did it correctly identify it as a thermostat?

It did… very briefly. And then completely failed to join and do anything. I presume a failed thermostat, USNAP module, or another of the dozen other things that could go wrong and are too hard to diagnose.
