@Mbhforum upgrade to latest CoRE to make sure the button=pushed works. Going around shortcomings of the Ring implementation - ST may fix these soon, but until then, I went around them
Thatâs awesome! By the way, today was the first time I have really gotten to play with CoRE. I canât believe what I have been missing! Pretty awesome.
Same here re core! I just sorta figured out how to setup a âsunriseâ light alarm clock with my hue light in the bedroom. Gonna see how it works later this morning hopefully i dont piss my wife off!
There is a smartapp just for that called âgentle wake up.â
- Open the SmartThings mobile app
Two) On âmarketplaceâ in the lower right
Three) tap on âsmart appsâ at the top right
Four) choose âlights and switchesâ
Five) scroll down until you see âgentle wake upâ
Where are you guys seeing this integration? How do you add the doorbell to your ST? Any love for UK Ring owners?
Thanks, I can confirm that this now works in CoRE. One issue I am having is I am trying to also get Sonos using the Speak and Resume or Speak and Restore and it doesnât work.
I know my ST-Sonos integration works fine because I have a Sonos smartapp that works fine. Is this a known issue with CoRE?
Go to the Marketplace-Safety & Security-Ring and follow wizard.
MBhforum, I donât see this in my ST app. Weird.
Probably bc your in UK. You guys seem to always get things later across the pond
Thatâs what I thought, probably roll out to us next year. Ring have only recently added a UK site to order from - I imported mine last year and have a USD cloud subscription.
I previously added this but i dont see where there is an option to wake up with âsunriseâ - am i missing something?
EDIT: duh, I didnât add the device controller so didnât realize an actual device was supposed to exist Now I see it and setup a CORE rule to spin up the Gentle Wake Up switch I guess I could have just created a smart lighting automation, but after playing around with CORE itâs hard to go back to anything else. Itâs like a bad addiction LOL
I believe itâs under Cameras⌠Safety & Security > Cameras > Ring > Ring Video Doorbell (Pro)
I thought I read that theyâre still working out issues with button presses. I never noticed motion triggering a button press thoughâŚ
So I added this under the Cameras section. Is this the only place I need to add it?
the only thing it show is it is green (assume it mean online) that is it. I did see where it is showing up as a motion sensor seems that is the only feature as of now
hard To Tell From Everything Posted, but I cant Seem To Find A Working âButtonâ (one, two, three, or Four) to Create An Automation To Turn On Lights When The Bell Is Rung. Are We Still Working On This? Thanks Guys, not A Developer Obviously
If you are talking about CoRE then you need to update to the latest version and try again
Nope, just trying to work through the app. Is there a better place to ask?

For Core?
Welcome to the CoRE Logic Thread. Here you will find many community members that are more than willing to help you with the Logic and Programming of your Pistons. **There will be another thread for âHow are you using CoRE?â and âHow are you using the CoRE/AskAlexa integration?â. So, this is the place to ask your questions and the place to get the answers.
I donât know core from my elbow unfortunately, hoping someone might have insight into running it straight from the ST app. Iâve managed to get the doorbell added (as a button even), but when I try to make it do something via a routine or smart app, etc., it doesnât seem to want to work.
