Can't set up Smarthings button in Classic App

I’m trying to set up my first Smartthings button using the Classic App and having this issue:
I have successfully added the Button as a device and it shows up in the device list. However I can’t find any way to program the Button to do anything, i.e. I see no place where I can indicate what happens when the Button is pressed.

There must be a simple solution to this but somehow I’m missing it…

Any comments/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

There are a few options depending on what you want to trigger. Some of the easier options to setup: 1) You can use smart lighting if you just want simple control of lights, or 2) you can create a routine and setup “automatically perform” to be triggered from the button.

There is also a SmartApp called “button controller” in the marketplace ( SmartApps ->More )

Same for me. I just use the new app to set it up. Then create automations in either app. Bit kludgy, but it works :blush:
