I just purchased new, a Samsung washer and dryer combo (45R6300AV/US and 45R6300V/AV)
I can’t for the life of me find clear instructions on how to connect them to my WiFi and then to my Smartthings account. I have Googled and tried different things for two days now.
The instructions in the novel that came with the units tells me to download the Samsung Smart Home app and follow the prompts. I did this but get a popup stating “Your device is made for the new Smartthings App, not Smart Home. Please try again from the new Smartthings App”…which I did. Then I get a popup stating “Couldn’t sign in to Samsung Account”.
I have a Smartthings account (and have had for years now). I also have a Samsung account. I don’t get it.
I called Samsung help but they just refered me to the Smartthings help line. I am yet to call them.
If anyone has any ideas, please let me know and I will be eternally grateful
I also tried to register the MAC address on the samsungsmartappliance.com website, but all I get is a spinning wheel for 5 minutes and then a failure notice.
