Phone: iOS
App: SmartThings
I have three smart appliances; Range, Refrigerator and Dishwasher. Upon initial purchase and install I got all three added to the SmartThings app. Then a couple months down the road the dishwasher and refrigerator stopped communicating. I removed them from the App, tried to re-add following the SmartThings procedure. on both the dishwasher and refrigerator when it gets the point in the addition process “REGISTERING YOUR DEVICE” this will eventually timeout.
This is the case for both Dishwasher and Refrigerator. eventually I get “something went wrong” “there was a problem connecting to the network with your dishwasher. make sure your network is working properly”
…my network is working properly. the same network I am typing this message on is the same network I am trying to connect these two appliances to. it is also the same network the RANGE is connected to and working.
I have gone into my account > DEVICES and ‘removed’ the two appliances I am trying to connect. Even before removing them, I attempted to re-connect them a dozen times. With our without these two appliances in my devices, I get the same error when attempting to connect.
can anyone help me understand what I am need to do. It’s crossed my mind that something on the SAMSUNG side for already registered appliances need to happen. Like how I removed these two devices from account…does SAMSUNG need to do something also?
