Can the GE 12723 add-on switch be used with the Fibaro FGD-212 as a momentary switch

Just wondering if anyone has tried using the GE 12723 add-on switch as a momentary switch with the Fibaro FGD-212. Decora Momentary switches in the US are frustratingly hard to come by and very spendy, but functionally, this seems like this might possibly work since it wasn’t designed to directly control the load, doesn’t have it’s own z-wave radio (therefore I wouldn’t be installing 2 z-wave “switches” in the same location), and just sends the signal to the Fibaro which does the actual controlling and is what would be added to my z-wave system. I’m thinking it could function like the Leviton 5657-2W, Leviton 1257, or Pass & Seymour TM870STMWCC6, but I’m not sure. I would love to add switches that always maintain a constant position (center or bottom) vs the standard on/off toggles that stay up or down and visibly appear to be on or off.

I know this is old, but I have the same question. Did you ever get an answer?
