Can’t Connect my oven with smartthings : error : Wrong pp list

Hi Normunds - thx for reaching out and sharing your ideas. Very smart and it got me a bit further - but unfortunately not all the way. After accepting “Do you want to open this URL in the SmartThings app?” it gives an error message: Unable to add the unit (Possible network- or server error). It seems to return to the same faulty URL - and hands me the “Wrong pp list” message.

Try the process several times, both with the “automatic discovery” or a new device, and also with adding the oven manually. When it pops up the screen with the error, try and close it, then quickly switch to safari and submit the modified link, not while it’s open in the app.

Another issue I noticed with this oven is that you (your phone) need to be using the 2GHz WiFi network. If you can, disable 5GHz in your wireless router during the setup

I got a tiny bit further - but still not able to assign the oven. I think closing the app while pasting the URL helps somewhat. For a brief moment my mood rose as I saw an image of an oven and a pop-up asking if I wanted to add it. Unfortunately it ends up in a network error - so could very well be that I have to disable the 5 Ghz :disappointed_relieved::relieved: WiFi. Had that problem with other IOT

I encountered the same issue as others have mentioned. Despite following your suggestion, I couldn’t resolve it that way but differently.

I remembered that I still had an iPad lying around here after the attempt to set up with the iPhone failed miserably.

So I wanted to give it a try, grabbed my iPad, installed the SmartThings App, logged in, and easily found the oven via Wi-Fi.

Everything works seamlessly on my iPhone now and I can see the integrated oven in the App on my iPhone as well.

The oven model is NV7B6695ADK/U1, and my iPhone is an iPhone 14 Pro Max with iOS 17.1.1, but the setup failed.

Interestingly, using an iPad Air 2021 with iPadOS 17.1.1 for the setup and integration was successful.

Just sharing my experience in case it helps someone.

I also tried my wife’s Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra, and as expected, no issues.

I use 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi as well and I didn’t deactivate 5 GHz!

Consider borrowing an Android device or trying it with an iPad. Hope this information proves useful.

I’m going to start my oven now remotely from my iPhone and make myself a pizza! Yay

Good luck and greetings

Hey Normunds! I can confirm this method worked for me! Had to repeat the process four times but everything is working as expected. Unifi network with separated VLAN on 2GHz for IoT only. Thanks!)

I tried your suggestion and installed SmartThings on a Lenovo tablet (running Android) and was able to complete the setup. Although not the most elegant procedure - I succeeded. I wasn’t able to use QR code - but adding it manually worked. I didn’t alter anything on my WiFi so it uses 2.4 and 5 Ghz. It all boils down to a glitch in the setup on IOS. Hope it’ll be resolved soon - would be nice to have it working on the iPhone and not on a tablet.

UPDATE: realized that after setting it up on my account through my tablet - now it’s also working on my iPhone (same account ). Just like ELEXOR described earlier in his post. I guess I just didn’t catch it then.

Just want to reiterate that everything worked on my iPhone 15 Pro. I had a glitch for the first two times, but just exited out, started again (using the QR code) and everything worked.

This is a known ios issue and should hopefully be resolved in an app firmware update next week

Yup; using an older version of iOS on an old device, worked for me; But won’t work on my newest iOS device.

If people struggle, read the excellent guide above. If you have no devices I guess you’ll just have to wait until Samsung fix this within the app.

I am not sure if anything changed in the app but today SmartThings connected to the oven without any issues. Maybe Samsung servers got updated.

Hello everyone, the issue was fixed some days ago, if you are sill experiencing the issue please let me know.
