@jkp Thanks for clarifying that.
do contact ST support on the issue. in the app, tap on Menu then select Contact us
ST have told me today, âweâre not aware of a current issue with Zigbee functionality for the V3 Hubâ; I have sent them this - Bosch Motion Sensor (ISW-ZPR1-WP13) : Smartthings v2 hub - #70 by andresg; in this @andresg said on 2 November that ST engineers are looking into the issue. SmartThings are indeed aware of this issue, they are just not acknowledging it to customers like me. I do not believe it is appropriate to plead ignorance.
@Carlos_Jato @Robster please note STâs position. They have said today, âwe were aware there was a possible issue with Zigbee devices in November, but were advised in early December that it had been resolved. Weâve not received any similar reports of this issue since, at least not via email, so weâre not aware of this being a large scale issue at the moment.â If have not already emailed SmartThings support, you too should do that.
Just so you know, I am also having difficulty pairing Sonoff BASICZBR3 switch with the v3 hub, this switch comes with ST logo âworks with SmartThingsâ. I have been asked to share logs, will keep you updated.
Just an update, I have shared the logs ST requested. I have been told that Email support will escalate this and get back to me when they have more information.
My v3 hub is now working and is able to discover and pair with ZigBee devices it was previously unable to discover, Bosch motion sensors and Sonoff switches. I hope thiis also holds true for @Carlos_Jato and @Robster.
I just checked by trying to add the sensors again but they are still not being detected. How did you contact Samsung? I communicated with @andresg does he work for Samsung?
I contacted support@smartthings.com giving them my ST username (email address you have registered with them). They escalated this to their engineers.
@andresg is a ST partner in the ST community but he is obviously unresponsive - a waste of time.
Thanks for letting me know. I just emailed them. Hopefully they will fix the issue. one question. how do you connect your hub by ethernet cable or wirelessly?
Itâs wirelessly.
There is a problem with the v3 hub, now that they have worked on it, everything is working fine.
Best wishes,
@Rajendra Are you pairing through automatic discovery or by selecting the Bosch Motion Sensor while the device is in pairing mode? Also, are you using the edge drivers?
Thanks
I have 12 Bosch sensors, none were getting discovered until I wrote to support and asked for help. They asked for logs, which I forwarded, and then they escalated it to the engineers. It was only after that that hub started finding the sensors.
11 of them were discovered through automatic discovery but one needed specific selection.
ST support have acknowledged that it is a wider issue and I suspect that the engineers are having to fix the problem with individual hubs.
The driver is Zigbee Motion Sensor Mc.
Thank you for the insight @Rajendra. Iâll reach out to support as well; Iâve got the right driver but am still not able to pair the Bosch motion sensors.
same issue here - had issues after a power outage and removed the Bosch sensor - now i cannot add it anymore - comes up as âZigbee Thingâ only
If you have no luck, please email support@smartthings.com. Mine got resolved with their help.
Tried to reach support a few times but unfortunately no help
Seems its time to look for alternatives to smartthings as with every change there are problems that cant be solved
