Automations have never worked since update to v3 app

I’m not really sure where to start on this. My whole smartthings ecosystem has been broken for almost a year, since the update to v3, but I’ve just kinda put up with it as an annoyance as I’ve been working from home during that time cos covid.
But I started trying to sort it over the last week or so and am just at a brick wall - nothing works, so time to ask for help.

The problem is that none of the automations work. They all show in the app but don’t work and no errors are shown. I’ve tried deleting them and recreating them and it all looks good, but doesn’t work.
Here’s the list:

  1. Lights on at 20 minutes before sundown. The lights all work and can be controlled via ST app and via the Alexa integration, but the automation has no effect. Deleted and recreated - still nothing
  2. Lights off at 23:30 - nope
  3. We all leave home, lock the door - nope. I get notifications from ST saying that we have left home but the door does not lock (and history doesn’t show a failed attempt)
  4. Anyone returns, unlock the door - nope. As above

There are other automations that no longer work, but these are the most annoying and show the problem. To be clear - all of these worked for ~2 years on SmartThings V2 and stopped working overnight after the “upgrade”.
Appreciate any suggestions.

Do all automations not work? just checking …even though you stated none run. and when you say v3… are you referring to the hub or app?

if you create an automation to run at a set time… say 5 minutes from now and turn on a light … does it run?

Correct. Switching a lamp, or room, on or off in the app works but automations have no effect.

Ah - see your point. It’s a v2 hub, so this is when the migration to the samsung account / v3 app took place.

Well, that was interesting… I hadn’t thought to do that but just did, to turn a lamp off. It turned the lamp off and immediately turned it back on again…?

No - don’t know how to, to be honest, Any problems in the past have been solved on the forums.

quick question - in the app, if you go to menu > devices - is your hub listed?

as for contacting ST support… easiest method is through the app > menu > help. You can report a problem and submit logs if you choose. Or you can call if in a region where it is available. Their number is listed in the same location in the app.
