Seriously… I suppose there are much more critical problems than text formatting on Tiles, but the overall appearance and impression is that of a “stub” application. Certainly during early development phases, skinning and formatting is ignored. But this is going out to live Customers. I’m embarrassed to show this to friends.

And just as seriously, if SmartThings would just add the word “BETA” in the upper or lower margins somewhere, I’d be much happier. Perhaps I’ll tack it on in Dynamo tape.

I’m not seeing a single one of these problems in my app.

I’m running stock Android on a galaxy note 4.

The app looks good to me and I actually don’t see a difference between this update and the last version.

Me too Jason. Do you have an ST or Iris Smart Plug? If so, notice how the watt value is now moved over to the right vs being left justified. How about any other device handler that uses secondary_control in the new multiattributetile format?

Possibly this device type for my garage door. But it’s ok. I even updated the battery to make sure.

Well, I guess I can stop working on device handlers till this gets straightened out because whatever I do to make it look nice will be destroyed.

And speaking of wasted screen real estate, I still can’t believe they haven’t fixed the “spyglass image” not scrolling up as it does with iOS.

This will be fixed in an upcoming release. We have a bunch of design updates rolling out soon that will address issues like this.

These good old favorites and most useful ones ST decided to remove soon after releasing hub/app “v2.0.disaster” :

I never used hub v1 out the app. I was on wink back then. This reminds me of the wink ago and I really would love to have this ability.

The rooms are nice, but this quick at a glance option is awesome.

I used to use that DH and I loved it. But when I reset my entire system a couple of weeks ago it would no longer work with my thermostats. I have two Honeywell 8320 Zwave thermostats.

So now I use the “better thermostats” DH.

I installed that DH to check it out and yes, it’s AFU just like in post #9.

But everything of mine is looking good.

Guess I’m lucky.

How about some optimism and positive points?

• Red bar of death hasn’t happened yet, yet…
• I can at least scroll through the Shortcuts within Lights & Switches

I will have to second that concerning the red bar of death. So far so good on that one.

And it may or may not be related but my lone Zigbee contact switch now seems to be working and reporting to the hub AND to the app as it should. Previously I would get different settings from the hub (IDE) than what the app was showing.

It’s actually set to small. It was ok before the update so I am pretty sure it’s not my phone. The bright side about this update is when you close the app and open it up again. It goes to the default SHM page.

ValueTile now crashes the app 100% of the time if you set a height greater then 6, didn’t crash in 2.07 and prior.

We still need the submitOnChange: true bug fixed. It’s trashing Rule Machine on Android.

Looks fine on my phone as well as my wife’s galaxy s6. You sure you haven’t enabled old man mode (aka large fonts)?

You can check this at Settings - Display - Font

The beauty of Android can also be it’s greatest enemy.
