So this morning at 5:20 am, every single one of my z-wave, Zigbee, and Hue switches, plugs, and lights turned on. I have multiple different SmartThings Hubs various places and have been using SmartThings for well over 5 years now and have never had anything like this happen. None of the other locations had this happen either, just my home location. The entire house turned on… garage, living room, spare room, office, etc. All of the lamps, plugs, fans, light, everything except a couple wifi plugs I have (which are added to ST). And no, there’s no automation in ST or Alexa that was causing this. I’ve not changed anything in quite some time in my smart home set up but I double checked anyway. History logs just show all of the lights turning on. Luckily, my z-wave garage door did not open which surprised me since everything else turned on. This has me feeling very uneasy though. Anyone know why this happened? I cannot think of anything.
Do you have hunches turned on in Alexa? She will often ask if you want to automate lights and if you aren’t careful with your response she will add an automation to do things like this. Check your Alexa app.
Hi, no I don’t. I checked that. Just now again everything turned on and the z wave stuff kept turning on and off every second. Only way to get it to stop was unplugging the hub.
Hi, @ap77
We got a similar report about this but it wasn’t something that kept happening.
