Aladdin Connect direct integration is live. Moved to a new house that has the crappy Genie with Aladdin built in so wasn’t able to us MyQ [smart hub wasn’t compatible]. So happy i don’t have to buy something else to try and get a work around to work.

I put in a whole new garage motor & smart opener from genie about 2 years ago. I have been bugging them since then to integrate with smartthings & am so happy to finaly have it. I also created a virtual sensor to get it to tell me when open & closed with alexa.
I started using Aladdin Connect with SmartThings 3 months ago and it used to work okay for a while.
But now I am having problems with Aladdin Connect:
The history log of Aladdin Connect shows correct Open/Close events, however these events are delayed up to 10 minutes in the SmartThings logs.
In addition to this, the SmartThings logs show unexpected Open/Close events when the door was actually closed!
This makes it useless for the home automation.
I tried to find a workaround of these issues by using the Aladdin Connect REST API (Genie Aladdin Connect) to bypass the SmartThings integration issues. However, it does not work anymore. I am getting the (403) Forbidden response when I am trying to retrieve the authorization token. I believe that this document is outdated.
Does anybody has an idea which team is responsible for the integration?
Any ideas where to get the Aladdin Connect REST API documentation?
For what it is worth, I am also seeing a similar behavior – inconsistent & delayed door position/sensor status between what Aladdin shows versus Smartthings. It looks like commands to open/close sent via Smartthings works like it should, but the status isn’t reliable. One work around might be to add a separate door sensor managed directly by Smartthings and then use the Aladdin interface for “actions” tasks (open and/or close the door).
Suddenly, it started working well yesterday with a delay in 4 seconds. Unfortunately, it worked well for a day only. Today’s delay of the door status was 12 minutes again!
I tried to contact the SmartThings and Aladdin Connect support and got useless advices: “Reinstall the app; reregister device; etc.”. Nobody would tell me who is responsible for the integration and which team should fix this issue.
I have concerns of using this piece of junk software for actions. How can I be sure that it won’t open the door unexpectedly if it has such problems with a simple door status report?
I only had an issue.the other night where smartthings was not reading the door closed but no issues since then. I think it was tuesday or wednesday night.
