My old phone has to wait, parents are away so can’t steal it.
But I do have a new option… I have a new internet connection, not the same as where I added the Nuki last time. And it seems that this modem/router that customers get has a lot of closed options against the original.
I’m browsing online Marketplace for a open one and will test that first.
I really love the speed of the lock. And the sound doesn’t bother me and I think it’s equal to the 4 but for a shorter time.
Matter connection no luck but did receive a email that appears to be from someone that knowd more than to copy paste a solution script.
Haven’t gotten to answer it yet.
I did bring my devices to a IoT network so connection shouldn’t be the issue now.
Did you do this on your routers guest network? Or a whole new router set up? Tbh because my stuff worked Id never considered that for stability and security before but it seems a good option.
Im worried if i get this lock that it wont connect to matter!
Mind that TP-Link “IoT network” is a marketing naming trick and not what everybody calls IoT network since it does not provide any traffic filter or firewall for IoT devices to improve security or privacy. Devices will belong to the same main local network and have full access to your local network and the Internet.
Any other vendor of WiFi access points would call that “support for multiple SSID”, since that’s all it does, create another WiFi SSID.
you may want to provide more details on your setup. You said phone is on main network and then you have an IoT network. If the hub is on the I0T network - I don’t understand how that are using the same wifi SSID?
Haven’t read the whole thread. Is your SmartThings hub connected via Ethernet? If yes: could it be that devices on the IoT network can’t reach it, because it belongs to the main network?
“Recently, there was some issues with Matter integrations connection and configuration, however, this issue does not come from our side or from our device but is due to Apple iOS 18.4, Apple confirmed that the issue should get solved with the release of their next iOS update, however you may ask Apple to give you access to the current iOS beta to check if this solved your issue. You may want to check the follow article on our website to know more about the issue”
Other thing I’m trying tomorrow/this weekend: Delete everything from Nuki in all apps and then installing it again.
Worked great for the Aqara FP2 sensors I couldn’t connect. Also the adding to Icloud that first didn’t work did after reinstalling the app.
Yes, indeed, the information on the SmartThings Forum is right. We also got the same information, but now we received this information:
With the iOS 18.4 (Beta 4) version, the Matter pairing is working properly again. Note: It may be required to attempt the pairing again if it fails.
Please try updating iOS and provide us feedback if it works again.
So it worked by using my old phone, that is my dads phone now but this is how I got it to work:
Installing Nuki app and SmartThings app on his phone
Added his phone as a new user to my lock
Logged in in the SmartThings app with my own login
Then did the exact same Matter adding protocol as always and in no time it was working
Deleted both apps from his phone
Deleted his phone as user in the Nuki app
Back in business!!!
Only difference between our phone’s is that I have Iphone 15 Pro Max (IOS 18.4, but also with 18.3.2 no luck) with Icloud+ and he has my old Iphone 11 Pro (IOS 18.3.2) with the free Icloud.
Still would like to know what is wrong here, for future problems…
