Accidentally Removed Aeotec Hub from SmartThings

This morning, I made the head banging mistake of removing my hub with over 20 devices on my z-wave network. I was totally in panic mode when that happened. I have been working all day trying to get my devices added back with no success. I did manage to get 1 light, 1 sensor and the range extender added back, but the rest of the lights, sensors and locks are having issues getting added back. I am going through a factory reset of the devices, but when I go complete the inclusion, they never get added,

Any help here would be appreciated.

be sure to perform a z-wave exclusion on all your devices before attempting to add them back.

in the app, tap on the hub details, click on the 3 dots in the upper right, select Settings and open z-wave utilities.

also… add back any custom Edge drivers to the hub of you were using any.

I have not tried that. I thought that was for already existing devices. Let me give that a try on a couple of devices and see if that is needed in my rebuilding process.

And that was the ticket. While I did not think that would need to be done since I reset the Hub, it has worked on every Device I have tried this evening. I still have quite a few devices to re add, but this was a very good call to get them added again. Thanks for the heads up and recommendation to complete that step.

You have to exclude so that the devices don’t think they are associated with the hub.

Thanks for the Solution. I was able to get all of my devices added back to my hub. I wish ST had the option to back up the Hub in case something like this happens again or means to prevent someone from doing this (Lock device?). The last solution I used before moving to ST had a back and restore option.
