2018 - Current: Custom Graber Virtual Cord Z-wave+ Shades & Bali Autoview Z-wave+ Shades

Will get back to you in a day or two. Need to double check and I am currently not somewhere I have access to all my tools

No updates yet. We’re still working on it. But it won’t be like our z-wave shades, it’s more a case of the hub pushing commands to a dumb motor (so the motor never replies back, it only listens). The down side is that operation would be limited to open, close, stop and preset positions.

Hi,

Are there any current discount codes available? The ones listed are not valid since March.

The SmartThings discount code is always running and will offer increased discounts compared to what’s on the site.

Are there any feedbacks from people who had battery drain issues and who updated the firmware?

I have 10 Bali shades.
One of them was really bad and draining batteries in two weeks.
I tried the full reset but that didn’t help.
SWF offered to replace this shade at no cost and I got two new shades (they discontinued the one I had and got replacements for the room).

Now I have 8 shades with firmware v11.02 and 2 with firmware v12.10.

I still have 2 of the older shades that drain batteries pretty fast compared to others (1-2 months instead of 10-12) so I wonder if the firmware update would help.

I already checked live logs and full reset. Repaired the z-wave network.
Nothing helped.

FYI, I bought my shades from lowe’s.
Recently bought a single battery pack from zebra blinds to test it out on my 76x49ft shade, and it only last about a month.

Yes! I did the firmware update on all my shades and the ones with the battery drain issue are still going through batteries in less than 2 weeks. I need to contact ZebraBlinds and get them replaced because I keep replacing batteries and losing my mind …

I didn’t know v12.10 was available (I upgraded to 11.03, which I received from Zebra Blinds).

What did you do for a “Full Reset”?

Please reach out to support.

I went through the procedure with SWF support, they said the shade was probably wrongly set in always on mode:
Remove shade from 12-channel remote
Remove shade from ST
Unplug and replug battery
Add back to ST
Add back to remote

I just went through a bunch of the posts here and you mentioned resetting by a 20 second long press followed by disconnect and reconnect of the battery. I’ll try that.
Any chance, you have a written procedure so that I don’t miss anything? Does this delete the open and close positions preset?

Also, any idea what drains the battery if there are no messages between the shade and the hub? If it was not in sleep mode, wouldn’t I see a lot battery status messages from the shade to the hub?

Thanks

If you do the 20 second reset it does clear everything. So you will have to set the limits again. If you have the manual on hand it would be full reset, then pair the remote, set the limits and then add to hub.

I have three “Virtual Cord Z-Wave LightWeaves® Graber® Roller Shades” I purchased at the beginning of 2018: I haven’t had any issues with them until the past couple of weeks.

They haven’t been responding, so I replaced the batteries with just some basic amazon alkaline AA’s: I tested them out and they’re all v1.5+, and v12+ in the holder, but it’s still acting erratically (one eventually decided it could close but now it’s stuck in that position).

When I plug them in, the green light on the blind lights up for a moment, the paired remote lights up green correctly, they show up correctly in the hub, it’s just when you try and open or close it, it immediately shows back up in its original state.

I have some lithium batteries coming at the end of the week, but that’s just grasping at straws really. Is this likely just a battery issue? Not sure if there’s a way I can bypass the batteries to test

Batteries shouldn’t be causing that. Please reach out to support if you ordered from us.

Looks like you’re right - I was holding off waiting for the batteries to come in to verify, but they’re still acting up.

I did the full reset on all 3 shades and was able to get 2 of them paired and up and running again (or so I thought); but it looks like today they aren’t responding again.

I’ll play around with it a bit more and reach out to your support if I can’t get them going again

Black Friday Promo’s updated.

Hi interested in purchasing the Autoview Zwave shade, I would like to update my current Autoview shades to the latest firmware. Where do I get the firmware file?

Please PM me with the firmware version of your current motor and what type of shade it is.

I’m unable to PM, I have v11.02 and they are the Bali Autoview. My email is takashi444 @ yahoo . com
Thank you!

Two of my four shades seem to have developed a similar problem where they only move by 10% even when I press on or off in smartthings. These shades are hardwired and have been working well for 1.5 years. When I press the button on the shade itself it moves correctly between 0-100% range.
Any suggestions on how to fix this issue?

I recently bought a Graber shade from a local retailer. It is motorized and uses the Somfy RTS remote. Is it possible to upgrade to the newer z-wave protocol? At the time I didn’t realize direct zwave was an option. I saw that there is a bridge available but it would be nice to have one less bridge/hub plugged in.

Sounds like a firmware issue. Can you PM me the firmware reported?
