Anyone know of a thermometer that I could put ontop of my woodstove insert? This device would have to be able to handle some pretty high temps, the main reason why I’d like to do this is because the stove has a built in fan, so when the temp is > than say 120 degrees on top or even in the blower intake then turn on the fan and start circulating the air. Sure I know they make stove inserts now with the automatic fan but thats a lot of money to just drop 
for a possible simple solution. Thank you all for your input on this.
