My widget, which I depend on daily for my 63 Scenes, has become unsorted
I did contact support who asked me to open my account, I did that 3 weeks ago - Crickets…
Only my Pixel 6 became unsorted. My Pixel Tablet did not. My wife’s Pixel 8 did not.
I have unsorted and resorted the Scenes in the App.
I have removed and resetup the Widget
I cleared the Cache and Storage and rebooted
And, I have removed the entire App and reinstalled it.
All to no avail – the Scenes in the Widget remain unsorted since mid-July maybe…
I have reported unsorted lists to support/development since 2013. They seem to enjoy this.
Perhaps they are just messing with ME?
Support sure is giving me a raw ‘bug off’

You know you can sort them?
I have to do that whenever I forget to share a new/replaced device with the other location members.
I’m pretty sure that the sort order isn’t saved anywhere except on the device itself. If you uninstall and reinstall the SmartThings app, it’s gone.
The sort orders for a number of things are among the client app settings that are stored in the Client API so they can be shared between devices at the user account level. I don’t remember widgets being one of those things but then I don’t currently use them. However it would certainly seem to be reasonable for the sort order for a widget to be local to each device.
That would be so nice, but unfortunately, the only option I have above is “Remove” or “Cancel” when placing it. Are you on an iPhone?

I don’t know how Widgets work on Pixels.
I only see the settings on Galaxy phones. With other Android phones you just seem to get what you are given.
