Has anyone attempted to get the whole house fan from quietcool to work with Smartthings using some kind of RF relay?
I tried emailing Bond and they said:
“Upon checking, this remote is not yet tested or supported by Bond and we have yet to receive information if this is something that will be tested in the future.
I noticed that the remote operates on a frequency of 433.92 MHz, so you could try programming it manually. Bond does support some devices with FSK modulation, but not all FSK-modulated devices are supported. Since this specific remote hasn’t been tested, we can’t guarantee that Bond will fully replicate its functions or that the commands will work correctly.”
And looking at Reddit from 3 years ago there was an comment about this:
“Have you been able to make it work? I just bought Broadlink RM4 pro, and fcc says Quiet Cool remote should work at 433.92MHz which is supported by Broadlink, but Broadlink doesn’t see the remote. I wonder what could be the issue.”
“ Hey I tried this, Sonoff RF and the Bond bridge and none worked. I ended up buying a switchbot and configured it to click the button for me. It’s definitely not a perfect solution but it gets the job done!”
So now that it’s been 3 years does anyone have any ideas since Bond doesn’t know or has anyone tested this setup besides using the switchboard since this is one is on an RF remote instead of the one that’s in the wall. It’s kinda annoying to having to go and find and get the remote every time we want the fan to turn on.
The remote model is IT-RFSWITCH-01
