When will the UK 2016 models of smart TV be able to become a Hub for Smart Things

I Have recently purchased a UE55KS9000 Smart TV and have been told that with the use of a dongle the TV can become the smart hub for your smart things. How true is this and when is the roll out expected. I was also informed that when it does happen then all owners of 2016 TV will be able to claim the dongle for free.

It was announced in January for the full Samsung high end line, but has not yet been released in any region.
