TV Recommendation? (UK)

I’ve been reading the forums and can see there were issues with Samsung TVs and their status as a SmartThings “Thing” last year. It’s not clear to me if that is all resolved.

I’m looking for a new TV, in the UK, that I can control with SmartThings; i.e. turn on and off while connected only via WiFi to my home network. Ideally, it would also allow me to trigger scenes when turned on or off. The KS7000 looks like it should do what I want, but it’s not 100% clear.

Or is there a different TV manufacturer or model that I should consider?

Dumb TV and get a Harmony Hub if it’s available in your region.

I have a Harmony Hub but don’t have line of sight for an IR blaster (even with an extender) so very keen for a “smarter” solution. Maybe HDMI-CEC from my Yamaha AV receiver?

Just to be clear, those issues haven’t been resolved.

Given that it’s been more than 6 months and several software revisions since it happened, I wouldn’t hold out much hope of a resolution.

I have a Sony Android tv that I have hooked up to SmartThings through a Smartapp on here which works great.
