Wemo Switch works currently with Smartthings?

No, They work with either ZigBee or Z-wave, depending on which one you purchase.

sorry I was not clear. I meant if Leviton also offers a model that works using Zigbee. If so do you know which one?
tks

I don’t believe that Leviton has a ZigBee model, but if I’m wrong I’m sure somebody will correct me

Ok. yes while searching I could not find ZigBee for Leviton but I was hoping I was wrong… And have you heard about the Fibaro relays? those are like modules that are connected using neutral wire to the the original and normal switches so I do not have to change my current switches the problem is that each relay is about $80 USD and they work over Z-wave. The question is if you know something similar to those but that work under Zigbee and maybe cheaper?

Leviton does offer ZigBee switches. They are brand new and hard to find anywhere. With the latest DTH changes by SmartThings, they added their fingerprints and a support page.

I would not let that stop you from considering Z-wave. That is the beauty of SmartThings is the ability to tie in with multiple protocols. Z-wave really increases your device choices greatly and the prices of products are less and now with z-wave plus the range can reach out to 150ft before needing to repeat.

FYI: The WeMo switches to me are ugly and huge. When I have a choice WeMo isn’t at the top of the list.

I have a couple of Wemo Insight Switches (outlets) and some Wemo bulbs. The wemo bulbs are zigbee and connect direct to the ST Hub and the switches connect with the Smartthings Lab thingy above.
As others have said, I have never had anything as flaky or unreliable as the switches. Going on the wemothat community group finds many others have the same experience. I wish I’d found the community page before I’d bought wemo stuff and now they’ve discontinued production of the LED bulbs too so I’m torn between trying to get them really cheap and just avoiding them at all. Connecting to the ST hub means the bulbs are mostly reliable, which doesn’t seem to be the case when people use the Wemolink hub
