That’s disappointing I only purchased the Hub2 because it said it was supported on the UK website.
I don’t understand how is it possible that someone has been able to add the wemo switch and some others (including me) is getting error messages…

Are you still having problems? Could you let us know what you tried so far? e.g. added custom smartapp and/or custom device type?

I have added the custom smart app. Demo (connect). I then go to MarketPlace - My Apps. If I click on it, I get discovery started and a few seconds later under select wemo switches I get a message saying (1 found), I tap to set and select my wemo, then Done, then Done again and I get a red error message on the top of the iPhone screen saying: Failed to save page: firstPage.

Sounds like the problem that xAPPO was having above ( around post 6), as well as having to add your own custom smartapp, you’ll also need to add your own custom device type using the wemo switch template.

Adding the custom smart app but that gave a error until I added the custom device type from templates that seemed to create the nessasary namespace device(s)… Thanks again for the help.
when are the Belkin devices going to be compatible please? they work fine and need them to link to smartthings ASAP…
I have now added 2 x wemo switches as described and they work so thanks for this help… Oh and I had to create the device template…
The new devices are now not triggering on a smartthings routine which is meant to start at a set time…

Not sure if this can help anyone in the future. I was struggling with this for days . I simply rebooted my router left the hub on and connected. Then started discovery in the memo app, and they connected no issue.
OR if you get to the ‘x Wemo’s discovered’ but Error message after selecting them and clicking Done/Done, try signing out of the app and then logging back in and re-disccovering.
That worked for me and my 4 switches!!
I am facing the same problem here but am unable to follow the fix steps fully. I have added the custom smart app and then gone into ‘my devices’ and created a new device for the wemo switch. On the app I go to the marketplace to discover the switch. It is found but I receive the same error message. What am I doing wrong? Can someone please give me step by step instructions on what to do? Thanks
You need to run the custom smartapp - this will do the device discovery for you.
Go to marketplace, then Smartapps, then at the bottom of the list find My Apps, then look for WeMo Connect and click that one
Yes I have completed what you describe above and am still receiving the error. Creating the smart
app from template is straightforward. Just for clarification, how do I
create the device from template? Just want to make sure I’m doing the right
thing to add the device.
This may be too late but i followed what ma10 said……
So i don’t have “my device types” i have “my device handlers”! I created a new device handler, “Wemo switch” (remember to save & publish!) went back into the smart app and added demo switch without an error message. the switch was then in my Things list in the app.
Also did the same for Wemo Sensor.
Just by having it as a Device Handler it added it? Strange but i think ma10 had this suspicion!

Can anyone explain WHY switch integration has been removed. Is it because of good reasons (ie hey don’t work very well - in which case why just uk) or for greedy reasons that they’ve signed an exclusivity with Aeon labs?
It’s very annoying given it was listed as supported before, and no explanation given for why that has changed.
