In the ST app, version 1.6.86.23, on my iPhone 12+, if I go to Menu> Labs> I do not see the virtual switch option. It’s also not under Automation> SmartApps either.
How do I add this option?
TIA

I would use this instead:
It has never been available for iOS, only android.
And as @Automated_House suggests, even the android version is using the old architecture, so it’s better to go ahead and start using the new architecture with edge drivers.
My goal is to try a virtual switch to see if when I/we/she leaves the house and the garage door is left open, it will close with the virtual app, is this possible?
That’s good to know. My goal was to try a virtual switch to see if when I/we/she leaves the house and the garage door is left open, it will close with the virtual app, is there another way of doing this?
Need more info. How is presence being monitored, what device is being used to control the garage, etc.
Presence is via our iPhones and Life360.
and the garage door control?
Remootio 2 is connected to our Marantec M9400e garage door opener and ST.
Does webCore work with the new ST app and IDE? This use to work when we had WebCore, but ST support suggested I not use WebCore.
No, it does not.
Do you have Remootio connected to SmartThings
Yes, Remootio is connect and working with ST and Alexa.
ok, so you should be able to go to the Automation tab and create a Routine using teh + button in the upper right. No virtual switch needed.
I tried the below and it does not work. What is tec + button?
I haven’t found anything that says, If: Peter leaves home AND: the garage door is open THEN: close it
The + button is used to add additional conditions to the IF side or actions to the THEN side. SO in your case, tap the + for IF to add the garage being open condition and then the + for THEN to add the closing garage action.
Under THEN, there is a Closed not a Closing, not sure if that makes a difference.
yes, that’s the right one despite the bad grammar in the app
If you only want this to happen when you are away, you will want to change the “IF” section to be “when all conditions below are met”.
