Lots of good answers here. Thanks so much for sharing.
There is some work being done by the community on these see the following post
Some clarity on the pairing process after some trial and error:
Pairing:
Push and HOLD the top button for 5 seconds - The LED will go amber - Now you can pair it with your hub. It should show up as a “z-wave switch”
Push and HOLD the lower button to repeat the above pairing for it.
Push and HOLD BOTH buttons for 5 seconds and you can pair it for the “remote mode”. I haven’t found a use for this yet with Smartthings.
Reset:
Push and HOLD BOTH buttons for 15 seconds and both LEDs will blink red. That’s a factory / pairing reset.
I actually have one of these and would really like to see it supported as well. There has been some talk of it.
See post #4 for custom Device Type and SmartApp for this device.
While I’m still working out a few bugs with my Enerwave Dual Load ZWN-RSM2 I’m hoping someone can get me started with getting the ZWN-SC7 to control devices on/off state.
Specifically, I’m hoping to control 3 of the ZWN-RSM2 modules with this device and will be adding even more in the future.
In short my rooms almost all have ceiling fans/light combo’s but only one hot wire. So I’m putting the ZWN-RSM2 in the fan canopy and using the ST App and ZWN-SC7 to control them.
ST doesn’t support secondary controllers from what I understand, but from the little digging I’ve done. My guess would be that with a custom device type and maybe app, I should be able to accomplish that. ST does recognize and install the device, so I guess…
Hello and thanks ahead of time for your input
I have this enerwave controller
It does not control a load but is wall wired.
I assumed it would work similar to a button controller/remote but not require constant battery changing
I can add it to the smarthings hub and it appears as a “zwave controller” (one device only) but has no other functionality that I can access. Pushing buttons does not perform any action or any noticeable response on the app.
In the smartapps section there is an app called “button controller” which is noted to work with the aeon minimote but when I use this app to add the enerwave controller using the inclusion sequence for the controller the program states “a new device was added but was not the correct type” and then subsequently the device “zwave controller…
As for your house size and the need for 2 Vera’s, there are numerous threads on here about this. I would image with a few strategically placed Z-Wave and/or Zigbee powered devices you could get by with 1 ST hub, but only testing would say for sure. You obviously know your setup and layout best.
