Unable to add zwave devices to SmartThings v2 Hub

I am trying to add 2 new Zooz ZEN72 800LR Dimmers to my smartthings v2 hub, however i cannot get past preparing device or the processing screen in the QR code scanner. I reached out to Zooz support who suggest they have received a few of the same issues from other users and suggested reaching out to SmartThings support.

Since I dont want to talk to the AI attendant or back and forth in text right now, is anyone else experiencing this issue and know a fix? The devices do seem to get included into the network, but not added to smartthings app or visible in the hub, i can exclude them afterwards just file and the pairing appears to work properly according to the switch indicator

Same issue with August Lock Z-Wave. It looks theres a issue with S2 Z-wave security.

  1. Bring the hub closer to the switch during pairing.
  2. Initiate exclusion mode on your hub.
  3. Tap the lower paddle on the switch 3 times quickly.
  4. Tap the upper paddle 4-5 times quickly when adding it.

If these steps don’t work, reaching out to SmartThings support might be necessary. Have you tried any of these steps yet?
