UK V2 Hub not communicating with Hue devices (June 2023)

I have the same issue… do you need more logs/etc?

Me too, exact same problem. Hue lights are gone since 1-2 weeks and I have already hit my toe!

any update on this? I’m also having the same problem with the 2023-05-23 driver - some bulbs work, some totally unresponsive.

Hi, @Omnikone, @Nick_S, @zeeb

We need to confirm which type of integration you’re using for Hue since it can be Cloud Connected or Hub Connected.
Can you check using the app the following, please?

Make sure you’re in the account that owns the location where the device is installed.

  1. In the app, go to the device and open it to see its details
  2. Select “menu” (three-dot symbol in the upper-right corner)
  3. If you see the option “Driver” it is using the Edge driver, it should have the name of “Philips Hue” from the developer “SmartThings”

I’m using the hub connected lan driver. If I link my hue cloud account smartthings creates duplicate devices for all my lights.

If of interest.
Same here.

Is this somehow realated???

@jkp just informed us that it is Amazon Web Service related

https://downdetector.com/status/aws-amazon-web-services/

No, voice assistant integrations are different than Edge drivers which is the integration type of the Hue bridge that we’re analyzing here.

@zeeb, thank you for checking, for now, we don’t need more logs, the team keeps investigating the issue.
@arcspin, don’t worry, we already knew the integration type you are using.

I confirm the same problem:
I see all the bulbs online, but if I try to turn them on, the key spins but nothing happens. Obviously the same if the ignition were to come from an automation.
That occurred yesterday, and solved by restarting the smartthings hub. This morning again the same problem and restarted the hub.
Here aeotec hub with firmware 48.03 and philips hue drive beta 2023-06-6 (automatically updated, before I always had the beta of 2023-05-23).
From yesterday to today there has been no firmware update or hue drive update, therefore I don’t understand what causes this problem.

thanks to @Johnnybegoode for alerting me to this topic.

First of all, thank you @nayelyz for helping us out.
Its now been two weeks since our smart homes got in a disarray and it would be appreciated to get an update from Smartthings regarding the situation and the progress of solving the issue.

The same today.

Here also the same.

UPDATE Rebooted again - after 4 hours again offline

Yes, I’m coming :hugs:

Hi @nayelyz

Just as an addition, to try and get it working I removed the Hue Hub and associated devices from my SmartThings and re-added it, but it has gone from Local to Cloud now, even though the “Connect to hub” option.

In the SmartThings app, if you try and add device from the Favourites screen the hub does not seem to go into paring mode, it only works in you are in a specific room in the application.

@NeukUK one option mentioned earlier: https://community.smartthings.com/t/st-edge-philips-hue-lan-beta/249030

Hi, everyone.

Sorry for the delay. The team is still working on the fix for this issue, they were able to replicate the issue on their end so, this is helping them to make tests.
Once they provide more feedback about it, we’ll let you know.

Same issue for me. Some Hue bulbs stopped working around June 1st - I deleted and reinstalled and that fixed the issue until now. All Hue bulbs now not working in ST, all show online but don’t respond to ST app but work perfectly via Hue app. Hue bridge driver details attached

Notice that you have driver 13/6/23 so things are moving, I’m still on 6/6

Im on 230615.
No difference regarding hub not communicating.
