Trigger Heiman smoke detector

Hi,

I recently bought 6 Heiman Smoke detectors and connected to my smartthings hub as Z-Wave Smoke Alarms.

Heiman Smoke Detector z-wave plus 868.42MHz (HS1SA-Z)

I tested this product with Smartthings and works great. Firstly it is recognized as Door sensor. I changed the Device Type in the API to Z-Wave Smoke Alarm and works perfect. The states sent are: battery: 100 % smoke: clear checkInterval: 7320 alarmState: clear [image] In the log (Recently) appear the battery checks and the alarm state, for example, if you press the button on the smoke detector, the events are fired. In Smart Home Monitor appear good as Smoke detector. The detectors work fine, however if one detectors goes, is it possible to trigger all other sensors? My guess it that we need a specific handler to activate trigger the alarm remotely. Does anyone have an idea?

Yes that’s correct. SmartThings doesn’t currently support a native way to create GroupAssociations, this may change in future but for now the only way would be to use a custom DTH or use the Z-Wave tweaker DTH to create the associations and then revert back to the stock DTH.
