Is there any new option to transfer ownership from one user to another. If not, please make it.
The SmartThings app (Android - can’t comment about iOS) includes a ‘Give devices to someone else’ option in the overflow menu on the Devices page.
This has appeared without comment from SmartThings and is presented in a very matter of fact way as if we should know what it does.
Its intent appears to be to transfer devices owned by the person who added them to SmartThings to another user. Devices on hubs have to be transferred in bulk with the hub itself.
I have never been able to test exactly what it does because the hubs/devices I would be happy to test it with have not been included in the list of available devices and if anyone else has used it they haven’t mentioned it.
Update: I have just tested it on a cloud virtual device. A QR code was generated that I scanned on the device belonging to the ‘someone else’ and the virtual device is now in a different Location belonging to that person. The wording rather implies that you can remove it from the original Location afterwards, but in my simple test it was already removed.
Later update: I have struck out a sentence above because I think I interpreted ‘may be removed’ incorrectly. I think it means ‘may have been moved to another Location’ not ‘will still show in the current Location but can be removed’. With hindsight that would have been ridiculous.

Does it also move all the automations? That would be awesome for someone selling a house with an ST setup.
No, but Routines can be shared which presumably might save some work.
