Transfer Account Ownership When Moving

Transfer SmartThings Hub option

I just came across something I hadn’t seen before. It’s the abilty to transfer a hub with devices to a new owner. In the SmartThings app, I clicked on the Hub then the 3 dots in the upper right corner then ‘Edit device’ then ‘Give devices to someone else’ then ‘Transfer’. The person I want to transfer it to would scan the QR code. Has anyone done this and was it successful? I sold my condo and would like to use this when I meet with the new owner instead of having them factory reset the hub and reinstall all the devices.
