It would be great if the “Things” list could have a battery level option. Would be extra if it could tell you the type of battery used in known device types. Would make it a lot easier to keep an eye on what devices are getting close to needing replacement.

I named all the specific things to include battery type for this reason. Makes for some pretty long names, and when automation goes sideways then I have to wonder if a long name has choked a routine or smartapp. So far I have not seen a proven incident where the long name has caused the problem, so this practice has helped me keep the things alive.
