Samsung Split and Multi-split Air Conditioners with Smart WIFI like the AR9000 series:

We have been using these Samsung and LG split AC’s in India at parents house (though non wireless. Older models) for the past 10 yrs now with no issues. These are highly effective and wonder why these are not available or popular in our country here US of A.

I have 4 at home! They work flawless! And are popular in europe
Very low energy comsumption / low noise and very efficient, but the wifi function doesnt works as expected! Very slow and laggy. And i want to control the 4 at the same time and for that i need a thermostat like ecobee! But i think it doesnt works with that kind of hubs
 So maybe with smarthings

It seems that all the Silicon Valley hardware stores stock Leviton/Lutron switches but just about none stock such from GE or Jasco. Even if I order an In Wall switch of GE/Jasco type, they only come in White or Light Almond. My house switches are all in Ivory. The list of compatible Leviton/Lutron switches is quite small. I need a Leviton/Lutron that I can use to switch from a driveway sensor.

LUtron switches are not directly compatible with smartthings. Leviton simple switches usually are, but their scene controllers may not be.

Most Home Depots stock the GE switches, in the “Iris” section. Although you may not have the color choices that you want. Best Buy carries the zigbee models of the GE switches as well.

Any reason you don’t want to shop online?

http://www.zwaveproducts.com tends to carry most models, and Amazon has many.

I think the widest online selection is at the Insteon retail site, www.smarthome.com but the problem there is that they carry many devices which are not compatible with smart things. So you have to know what you’re looking for. But they do seem to carry a very wide color selection.

GE appliance interconnect modules like
https://www.geapplianceparts.com/store/parts/spec/DRM1E300T0

and

https://www.geapplianceparts.com/store/parts/spec/PBX10W00Y0

these are part of the GE connect plus range and supposedly work with Wink
http://www.geappliances.com/connected-home-smart-appliances/?icid=GEA_Connect

thanks

If I get a GM/Onstar development account I might give it a shot! Just got a new Spark EV.

I applied for a GM developer account as well. I found out that my mom has an OnStar account I can use for testing
And, based on my existing integration with the Automatic Car connected device, it should not be that difficult

Does anyone know if the ecosmart light bulbs work with smarthings? They are the cheapest led smart bulbs from home depot.

Unless I’ve missed a model, the ecosmart are just regular dumb LEDs, not networked at all, which is why they’re so inexpensive. So you’d need a smart zigbee or zwave switch, and then they’d work fine.

Or is there a networked model?

AEOTEC Smart Strip would be a great addition to the product supported.

I would also like to see the Aeon Power Strip officially supported @Tyler any further development on this cool device?

It says it is a A19 smart bulb. It is a wink compatible bulb so it has some sort of connectivity. But it just doesn’t say what protocol it uses.
