Hi, bought this tuya zigbee smart swith with temp sensor. Not being able to get a temp reading from it. Can someone give some advice? I have read this topic followed some instructions but did get it working. Anyone has used it with smartthings hub?
You can try one driver from this SmartThings. Add a little smartness to your things. channel.
Don’t know if this device will work with @w35l3y EF00 driver because it seems to use a 0xEB00 (per the info you shared in the other thread), but, this page shows a little more details about the datapoints used:
Or, you can try some of @wonjj6768 drive:
Hi Marcos, thanks for your help. I have checked the drivers from the link SmartThings. Add a little smartness to your things. you have sent but haven’t found any that fully works with the device.
the github o page has information about the device and one user mention that it got it working. But I don´t understand how! and is it will work with smartthings. I am not sure if there is a need to create a driver from that code but that is something i don´t know how…
The github page is from zigbee2mqtt, is not smartthings edge driver code, but generally a good reference to understand the datapoints used by tuya devices.
For your device to work directly in smartthings you will need a custom edge driver. Since you haven’t found one that works among the ones I suggested, I recommend asking in this thread if anyone has one or is willing to develop one: Post Requests for Zigbee Edge Drivers Here (community-created)
Thanks I will try that.
Also, from @wonjj6768 github:
This project is under active development. If a device does not work correctly, please open an issue and include the hub logcat. If you want a device to support an additional feature, please open an issue with your request.
Recently, it was announced that a new fee will be charged to developers.
Currently, it is not clear to me how Edge Drivers and their users will be affected.
As the developer of the drivers discussed in this thread (EF00 and default clusters), I’d like to state in advance that I don’t intend to pay that fee.
So, if something stops working for “no reason” sometime after October 2026, keep this in mind.
