[ST Edge] Personal Tuya Devices - Generic EF00 Device

Based on the generic description “smoke detector”, try to identify a device that uses the exact same datapoints as yours in the link below… just compare the numbers that is shown in the datapoints list with the ones in the last column of the table below.

For example, your device have datapoints 1,2,11,15,16,101. Try to find some smoke detector that contains these numbers. You hardly will find one containing ALL datapoints, but at least the ones listed in the last column must match the ones in your screenshot.

Model Manufacturer Label Default profile Datapoints
TS0601 _TZE200_m9skfctm Smoke Detector normal-smokeDetector-v1 1, 101, 15
TS0601 _TZE204_ntcy3xu1 Smoke Detector normal-smokeDetector-v1 1, 101, 14

Based on this, we can presume that _TZE200_m9skfctm is similar/compatible to your device because it matches more datapoints.

Coincidentally, both use the same profile. In cases where 2+ devices share the same profile, there should have a configuration called “Manufacturer” in the settings.

Once found the device(s), take note of the profiles and find them in the link below…

This link above shows you the path you need in the settings to reach that specific profile.
Sometimes, you might need to change the profile more than once.
Each profile chosen contains a set of new profiles in the settings.
If you are having any trouble to find profile, check the known issues

normal-smokeDetector-v1 Smoke Detector

Again, coincidentally, you only need 1 step. Once in the generic mode, open the settings and change profile to “Smoke Detector”

Once done, open the settings again and change manufacturer to “_TZE200_m9skfctm” and be patient.
Battery might take some time to update. You might consider removing battery and adding it again.

When defined in the fingerprints.yaml, profile is chosen automatically and bypasses all these manual steps.
Otherwise, you will need to do it manually.

If you didn’t find a device with the exact same datapoints as yours, you still can use that specific profile that best match your device, just open the settings and inform the datapoint number that represent each functionality.
For example, let’s imagine the device you found uses datapoint 20 to battery level.
Then go to the settings and change the value 0 (default) to 15 that is the datapoint number used by your device to represent battery level.
