I need it and how do you apply the downgrade? I’m on Android.
You simply uninstall the existing app and install the old APK by enabling unknown sources. Let me know if you need the 1.6.9 APK. All you have to do is download and install.
Okay. Yeah if you could send it my way that would be fantastic!! Current version has been broken for a while, for me at least.
I am also seeing the error. Also for the first time since in 6 months. Goodmorning did not trigger at 6am as scheduled… i have 3 android phones con ected and all 3 are getting reading errors when lookinf at the Things. There was a platform update 6/29… could it be related?
glad they’re “on top of it”… maybe in a week or two it may get resolved. it’s a damn shame that this is now the norm, and we’re getting (or got) conditioned that it’s somehow ok for things to not work as frequently as they don’t
It looked like I was going to avoid this, but I got my first one last night. I hope yesterday’s platform update didn’t make the problem more widespread.
Looks like we’re all experiencing the same problems… I sure hope they figure it out and release an update soon… it’s driving me crazy. Also, since I have been receiving these “Sorry but there was an unexpected error” messages, I have been unable to disconnect any devices from the hub.
You would think they could at least change the message to “Sorry, but there was an EXPECTED error” because let’s face it we all expect this error now
And the iOS app still takes forever to load. Yuck!
That’s one thing they did fix in the Android version. Unfortunately, that new found usability has been short lived by all the new errors and crashes. )c:
I’m having this issue as well. But only on Android, not on iOS.
I have seen this only once or twice on iOS lately but the slowness is pretty consistent till I kill the app and restart.
I have to say if Smart Things was behaving like it has been lately when I first purchased it I would have returned it in a flash. I wonder how many customers are returning hubs because of these issues. I would think this matters to the bottom line.
I’m getting quite frequent fatal crashes on Android just moving from screen to screen.
I’ll try to make sure I have a clean install and repeatable scenario or something, and write it up to Tech Support.
It certainly is “consistent” with the general problem described on this Topic.
Same here. Seen it quite a few times lately.
Same here on iOS on page transitioning.
Hey @april can you take your baton/ruler/stick out and start using those on dev team’s head? Are we going to get an app update or what?
Hey guys!
Hope your 4th was a real “bang”! HAHA get it?
So, I have made support aware of this. Please submit a ticket with support. This helps us track the issue. I will be watching this one.
P.S. I have been stalking this thread for what I am dubbing the “Red bar error” and am also tracking a ticket internally. Not sure if these two are related yet, but will update you guys when I have some shareable information.
