Sorry, but there was an unexpected error

We should let @April in on this issue. Did you enter a support ticket. I fired one off about an hour ago.

It seems like several different issues have cropped up over the last few days. A response from those in the know would be really nice.

thanks for letting me know. I’ll poke on my end.

I opened a ticket for this today as well. Started seeing significant issues on Monday, June 22. This is on Wifi (70Mbps Down/ 76Mbps Up) with SmartThings & my iPhone receiving 100% priority on router.

App has become almost useless due to time to load or errors :triumph:

This is on iPhone 6, running iOS 8.3, SmartThings App 1.7.3

Still seeing this Error Pop Up when working in the ST App:

@April: And it not specific to Android only. iOS has exact same issues.

yes. I’m aware. To let you know - we’re experiencing it, ourselves. Getting to the bottom of this.

In the mean time, try to clear your data/cache/restart app . Seem to have helped me for now - but will still follow through.

Happened to me on Andriod App version 1.7.4, I had to drop down to 1.6.9.

Just giving you guys a (late) update : I’m watching the bug ticket. SmartThings is aware of this issue, and we’re working on it.

Thanks for your patience.

I’ve just run into this now that i’ve added an additional device. Things page is dead in water for me…

@april I opened a ticket and a topic which I guess was deleted whereby if you click on Lights and switches on the iOS ST mobile app. It throws an exception. And at times followed by the error discussed above. I am not sure if it system wide or specific to my case. Waiting on support to respond.

Its not just you, I have been receiving the same errors on iOS. Experienced it when trying to open ‘Lights & Switches’ and also ‘Doors & Locks’. I also keep getting the error I posted above “There was an error loading your Dashboard.”

I also have a ticket open. ST support has asked me to force quit the app… this resolved issue temporarily but I keep experiencing the issue intermittently. Force quitting the app is not a solution. If I want to turn on/off my lights I should be able to open the ST app and execute in <5seconds, seems lately its 10-15seconds at which point I might as well have walked over and hit the physical switches

Unfortunately force quitting the app does not solve the lights and switches crash. So, basically short cuts are dead. And somebody it appears deleted my topic about the new Lights & Switches issue. Hmmm! Doors and locks “appears” to be ok for now but not lights and switches. And of course incorrect status of doors and locks for a while.

Your issues with the app seems worse that mine, all of mine are intermittent.

Had no idea this was a broader issue. I notice a few days back my Door & Lock was stuck in the Open position. Just checked now and seem to be having the same issue. Door shows as open on dashboard and closed when I actually go into door sensor :rage: Guess im opening a second ticket…

Working with support. I cannot even open the “lights and switches” anymore. Reinstalled the app. Rebooted… No go. Can’t even figure out what this “new light/switch” is under that tile in IDE.

Looks like dashboard is totally dead on iOS since now:

My hub v1 went offline appx 1030 in Maryland and service notified me so been down for about an hour. pretty unusual. For the last 2-3 days the power went off briefly several times but now internet is still up so…

Anybody else lose hub?

Seems like the status page could offer an on-demand connection test from the server end. I don’t think the existing page is a complete measure of its connection to my hub.

Fyi I can load the things screen in app with “sorry… unexpected error”, which has been present for the last several days.

I was able to see my “things” by downgrading to 1.6.9, do let me know if anyone needs this apk.

I also been having the problem. Doors showing that they are open BUT they are closed
