Sonoff ZBMINI-R2 / ZBRS random disconnecting or disappearing in SmartThings

Hello,

I have an Aeotec SmartThings hub with about:

  • 15 Sonoff ZBMINI-R2 (lights)
  • 7 Sonoff ZBRS (roller shutters)

I’m having serious stability issues:

  • devices going offline randomly
  • some devices completely disappearing from SmartThings
  • others showing “unavailable” after a few hours or days

I already tried:

  • full reset and re-pairing
  • rebuilding the Zigbee network from scratch
  • using also a Sonoff Zigbee bridge (eWeLink) as an alternative setup

The issue happens in both cases.

Hub is centrally located and coverage should be good.

Has anyone experienced similar issues with Sonoff Zigbee devices on SmartThings? Any solution or known compatibility ?

Sounds like your devices are connected via cloud-to-cloud integration and not directly to your SmartThings hub.

I have quite a few SONOFF Zigbee devices in use - buttons, temperature sensors, in-wall switches. I used to run some of them on a SONOFF hub, some have always been on the ST hub’s Zigbee network. Either way, all of these have always been super reliable, offline only when the battery goes really seriously dead.

Even those in-wall switches that mysteriously run without a Neutral never go offline.

So I wouldn’t be looking for anything that is directly to do with those devices.
