Middle of the night, three lights reset and now all devices are offline any suggestions
How many devices are you talking about?
Are the devices all Zigbee?
I had all my Zigbee devices go offline last week (my Z-Wave and virtual devices stayed online).
I restarted my hub (V2, 2015) and most of the devices reconnected. I had to re-pair a portion of my Ikea Tradfri GU10 bulbs.
The really odd thing is that I had a virtual device that controlled a Zigbee bulb. By switching the virtual device on and off, I was able to switch the Zigbee bulb on and off, despite the bulb being āofflineā (Android app and my.smartthings.com).
Good luck.
I got a new hub and replaced the old. Worked. The hub replace function made it easy. Same thing happen to me.
79 total devices
I have the same issue, all Zigbee devices are offline!!!
This is not the first time it happened with me, see the post I just posted it 3 days ago and got no technical explanation or even how to resolve and avoid this issue.
Were you able to get them back online with a hub reboot? (NOT reset).
Sadly, they all show up on app. Try to turn on or off or run routine nothing happens
How about telling us what devices and how they are connected?
Some are zigbee others zwave none work. All look to be online but none work
Thatās strange that even none Zigbee devices are offline!!
any way letās start with this step that it may help, check your Zigbee radio channel functionality is it true or false and let me know. Also, set the Zigbee channel to 15 or 20 to maintain WiFi Zigbee coexistence.

In the Advanced Users app, from right upper 3 dots choose advanced user.

Enter the corresponding Hub and scroll down to check ZigBee functionality and channel.
on 31 dec all zigbee devices stopped communicating with ST. Devices showing as online but non of the triggers working i.e unable to turn on/off zigbee lights. working over 5 years and nothing has been changed. logged on the advanced web and hub zigbee channel showing as 19 and true. Changed channels to 20 and 25 which made no difference. Tried to add new zigbee device but not seeing it when scanning for nearby devices. This is the hub 2. Any fix?
This has happened to several people (including myself) recently. In my case all zigbee devices were showing as āofflineā. My Z-Wave devices remained operational. I rebooted my V2 (2015) hub by removing batteries and powering down for > 30 seconds and most of my Zigbee devices came back online in minutes after reboot. A few devices had to be re-paired.
Do you have any non-Zigbee devices and are they online?
Definitely advise not to do a factory reset.
i have a samsung fridge connected which smartthings reports correctly. rebooted hub2 several times and deleted a door sensor and tried re-pairing but ST finds no new devices. defo some issue with zigbee. not sure what to do as already changed zigbee channels. alexa echo finds these devices so may switch away from ST after many years if no fix
To clarify, do you mean you have a SmartThings V2 (2015) hub (like I do).
The most recent Aeotec V2 hub (2025) causes some confusion (some refer to this one as V4).
When rebooting a SmartThings V2 (2015) hub, make sure to take out the batteries and leave it unpowered for over a minute.
Many (if not all??, including me) of the people with issues have V2 (2015) hubs.
Without any evidence at all, I wonder if these most recent issues is related to the splitting of the latest update with different dates for different hubs. Is it possible that Samsung cloud updates ārequireā the latest firmware update and donāt help the older firmware. (I know this is unlikely because firmware updates are spread over weeks and cloud updates could be instant).
I plan to wait until my V2 (2015) hub gets updated over the next few weeks before getting seriously worried and I have a V3 (2018) hub powered up and ready to go if things get bad.
The V4 (2025, Aeotec V2) hub is no good for me without Z-Wave support.
Fingers crossed.
