I’m new to Smart Things. I just bought a Aeotec hub to control my Somfy RTS blinds as a first step. The hub is supposed to work with Somfy but I cannot get the hub to add. It says “…in order to pair the device it has to be configured in the Somfy Set&Go app first”. What does it mean?
you are trying to add somfy RTS blinds I assume. what is the model of those?
do you have a ST hub and if you do… what is the model for it?
what paths have you followed in adding the devices to ST?

you may also want to contact Somfy support if the error is “…in order to pair the device it has to be configured in the Somfy Set&Go app first” since it appears related to a procedure performed in their app.
I assume you have the Aeotec Tahama hub that works on RTS. The following should get your Tahoma hub integrated with your SmartThings hub. As for pairing your Tahoma with your RTS blinds, you’ll have to consult the Somfy documentation.

I have an Aeotec Smart hub which works on WiFi, Zigbee 3.0 and z wave 868.4mhz protocols.
I am looking at the Somfy Sonesse 28 RTS motor, with the blinds.
Obviously I’d prefer not to have to buy another hub as I already have one, not to mention the high cost of the Tahoma.
I read on their website that you can connect either through their hub OR “cloud to cloud” methods such as IFTTT, but it doesn’t give a list. Other media on their website also implies they’ve been working with Aeotec and SmartThings in this space so I’m leaning towards thinking this might possibly connect directly, but seeking confirmation.
As the blind is custom sized I won’t be able to return if I order.
Purtroppo funziona solo per il Nord America…in Europa l’App ST non ha le opzioni spiegate nella procedura oppure non sono in grado io di trovarle ma non c’è modo di collegare via cloud esterno l’account somfy e quindi il Tahoma a ST…tu hai altre soluzioni?

Unfortunately it only works for North America… in Europe the ST App does not have the options explained in the procedure or I am not able to find them but there is no way to connect the somfy account and therefore the Tahoma to ST via external cloud …do you have other solutions?
